I rang in 2019 by watching Bird Box on Netflix and drinking mimosas out of my Pioneer Woman tumbler.
Now I have seen more memes than I can count about Bird Box and it’s weirdly gotten a lot of positive reviews. Like even people I know who absolutely hate everything love this movie. And I decided to give it a try.
So I found some headphones and decided that would be the best way to avoid Emma seeing anything.
When a mysterious force decimates the population, only one thing is certain — if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears. Searching for hope and a new beginning, a woman and her children embark on a dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. To make it, they’ll have to cover their eyes from the evil that chases them — and complete the trip blindfolded
Two words. Loved it.
Three words. Highly recommend it.
I mean really there is nothing more to say without spoiling it. It isn’t horrifically gory, but there is some blood. And you’re probably going to yell at the characters once or twice. But it’s great and I will definitely watch it again.
It is on the long side for a Netflix movie, a little over two hours but it keeps you on edge so it’s worth it.
Has anyone else seen it? What do you think?
